2019 Mourvedre-Syrah

This 25% Mourvedre, 75% Syrah has ripe blueberries and blackberry fruit.  There’s a creaminess to it along with fresh flowers, hints of coffee and cocoa, black pepper and a bit of turmeric or maybe curry powder.  It has a long creamy, fruity finish with mild tannins and coffee on the end.  On reflection there is something else in the aroma too...maybe some Picholine olive...or maybe I’m just longing for a trip to the French countryside or a cruise down the Rhone River!
