2019 Fenaughty Syrah

This is our only wine that doesn't come from our estate vineyards. The Fenaughty vineyard is located in Apple Hill. We ferment it simply and age it for a year in old, neutral oak barrels so all you taste is the fruit itself.  This vintage has savory tomato qualities that open to meatiness.  Keep swirling your glass and a floral quality emerges not unlike lilies.  Dive in deeper and you start to get chocolate, menthol and Syrah’s classic varietal character, smoke.  Easy tannins and a long ripe fruit finish make for one tasty wine.
